Active Monitoring for Ebola in NYC Triples, Nurses Take Precautions

The news that makes the headlines is what we read everyday, but there are many events associated with big news that never make it to the ‘big screen’ or are placed as smaller articles in newspaper or announced much later as a news event. Such are the broadcasts now regarding the amount of people currently being monitored at Bellevue Hospital as of today.

Most people have been under the assumption that there were only two people left on the watch list; however, it may surprise many that 357 people are under ‘Active Monitoring” at the hospital. This is an increase from 117 from the beginning of the week.

Ebola patient Dr. Craig Spencer is still in the hospital and monitored by medical staff who are taking the highest precautions against acquiring the disease. Despite, this, the hospital is having them monitored as well.  The condition of Dr. Spencer has been upgraded  from serious to stable and according to hospital officials, Dr. Spencer’s condition continues to improve.
