Dallas Nurse Ebola Free

Nina Pham, the 26 year old nurse in the Dallas hospital who caught the Ebola virus has now been diagnosed as Ebola free. She was being treated at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD.

Pham, speaking at a impromptu news conference thanked Dr, Kent Brantly, the physician who donated plasma to her while she was sick. She also stated that “I believe in the power of prayer because I know so many people all over the world have been praying for me. Although I no longer have ebola, I know that it may be a while before I have my strength back.”

Pham also has a dog where tests were taken and it was found that the dog is also virus free.

Amber Vinson, the second nurse who contracted the disease is being treated at Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital was also diagnosed as virus free.
It is yet to be determined why some people are able to survive the Ebola virus while others do not, even when the same medications are given to both, but the research continues on.
